Memphis City Mayor and Tennessee Governor’s Executive Orders and What You Should Know

Both the Mayor’s and Governor’s offices have issued new executive orders in an effort to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Both executive orders can be downloaded in their entirety below. However, some key points for hotels are:

• On the Mayor’s Executive order, restaurants are covered under item #6 roman numeral 14. Hotels are covered under item #6 roman numeral 23.
• On the Governors Executive Order from Sunday all of the alcoholic beverage provisions are listed on page 4, item 5, A through G

MMHLA Event Updates

• All MMHLA Membership luncheons and mixers are canceled from March 2020 to June 2020.
• MMHLA Board Meetings will be conducted by conference call
• The Stars of the Industry originally scheduled for April 22, 2020 has been rescheduled for June 17, 2020.
• The annual MMHLA Golf Tournament has been rescheduled to September 23, 2020.
